I wanna go :(

Last week in the NGO where I work, they needed someone to go to our office in Darfur for some IT job, (Not that I am at the IT Department) but anyway, I suggested I would go.. I've always wanted to see other places in Sudan, including Darfur, Juba, Kassala and Kadugly..

Unfortunately, My mum did not agree, I begged and plead for hours, no use! I was so dissapointed!

The next days when I told my colleagues at work bout my dissapointment, one of them showed me these pics taken from his last trip to Kadugly and Abu Jebaiha..

God, I so wish I get to go there sometime.. Its so beautiful....

Update:

New Pics sent to me by another very good friend.. Taken from Darfur..

Darfur and Kordofan are two beautiful places in the West. I have the privilege of travelling once by car from El Geneina to Nyala. We passed through the most beautiful sceneries in the west: Zalingi, Nyartete etc. And they have lots of fruits too!

The South is another story. I guess I could make lots of money by opening a tourism business! Come and visit someday! I will offer you a free tour :)

I don´t think my family would ever let me go either. I understand that they fear the worst but at the same time, Sudan is our country and it should be safe to go to all parts of it :(

Let´s plan a trip together and sneak out :)

Oh my goodness!!!

Those are such lovely pictures. I know exactly how you feel girl. Everytime I go back to Sudan and I want to go out of Khartoum to visit other far places, my whole family would gang up and shout "NOOOO!"

One day when I'm financially independent I'm going to travel all over Sudan and nobody will be able to stop me. When that day comes, I won't care what family says. I will simple GOOO!

Wow. I've really had an excellent time visiting all of these interesting blogs from Sudanese bloggers. Here at the CFR, we've been working on an interactive crisis guide about Darfur. I thought that you and your readers might be interesting. Here you go:

Let me know what you think.
